ME, MYSELF AND I...

I'm a Vocalist/Musician, Master Teaching Artist, Arts in Education-Enrichment Specialist, Consultant, Trainer and Author.

I create and present TEKS based, fun and educational programs for audiences of all ages. My target audience is students in Pre-Kindergarten through the 6th grade. I  present my programs in public/private and parochial schools, libraries, recreation centers and other family friendly venues.  I also present programs for Senior Citizen Communities and Centers.

I have a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Fine Arts. I am a member of NAEYC /TAEYC, TLA, NABS, AARP and SCBWI. I live in North Texas.

All my programs are fun, musical, visual, interactive and memorable. The majority of my programs

and concerts focus on reading and music, with numerous academic elements contained within.

I've been a professional musician/vocalist since the 1970's. First working  in Theater troupes/groups (actress/vocalist/guitarist) for USO shows and  later on, as a professional vocalist touring Canada, USA, Mexico.

I've been working in the creative field of "KINDER-TAINMENT better known as "Arts in Education" since 2001,  with the Dallas based non-profit arts organization BIG THOUGHT, Inc/Dallas Arts Partners , formally known as YOUNG AUDIENCES OF NORTH TEXAS. I work as a solo artist and/or with my band BOITUMELO/ DEJA VU JAZZ PROJECT for work in the arts in education field.

For work in schools, churches, camps and children's festivals, I have security clearance and badges with NAEP/Westat, the DHS/DFW Airport and FC-DALLAS/DISD.
